Metal injection molding

MIM (Metal injection molding) is a forming method in which a plasticized mixture of metal powder and its binder is injected into a mold. Powder is mixed with binder, then the mixture is granulated and injected into the mold for a desired shape. The way of MIM processing is similar with plastic injection molding. MIM is an ideal manufacturing process for mass production metal parts with precision accuracy, 3D shapes or special performance requirements.

Advantages of MIM

Compared with CNC machining and precision molding, MIM has unique advantage. It becomes a near-net forming technology and breaks through the limitations of the traditional metal powder molding process.
